I’ve practised law in Ontario since 2010. My work has included civil, family and criminal matters, residential tenancy matters, and wills and estates.

My background is a little broader than legal practice alone. I’ve also worked as a programmer, taught paralegal courses at the college level, and spent several years working in eDiscovery and large-scale legal review projects. I’m an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and work in both English and French.

I’m also interested in the intersection of law and technology, including through Juristudio, a legal technology project I’m developing.

That mix of experience tends to shape how I approach problems: figure out what actually matters, understand the available options, and avoid making things more complicated than they need to be.

Legal issues can become complicated very quickly, but the advice around them shouldn’t have to be.

My approach is to understand the situation, explain the realistic options, and help decide what makes sense based on the risks, costs and practical outcome.
